Flashcards with receipts.

Phrase generates native study Artifacts — flashcards, quizzes with scoring, and mind maps — from the notes in your library. Every set keeps its link back to the source, so studying never drifts away from what was actually taught.

  1. Pick the note

A lecture, a reading, a chapter of your own writing — anything in your library.

  2. Ask for the format

“Flashcards for the exam.” “Quiz me on this.” “Map this topic.”

  3. Get a native artifact

Cards, quizzes, and maps render as fast native views and live in your library.

  4. Check the source

Each artifact links back to its note — surprises get verified, not memorized.

Recall & pressure

Cards for the commute. Quizzes for the nerves.

Flashcards keep recall honest; quizzes add options, feedback, and a score so exam pressure isn’t a surprise. Both are generated from your notes, not from a generic question bank.

The big picture

When the topic stops making sense, map it.

Mind maps turn a note into an expandable tree — the argument’s spine first, the details on demand. It’s the view for the week before finals, when what you need isn’t more detail but the shape of the whole thing.

Grounded by design

Generated from notes. Checkable against sources.

Study Artifacts keep source-note lineage when available, and those notes keep their recordings and PDFs attached. A flashcard answer is never more than two taps from the professor’s own words — that’s the difference between studying and guessing.

FAQ

Study tools, answered.

Which study tools can Phrase create?

Flashcards for review, quizzes with multiple-choice answers, feedback, and scoring, and mind maps for seeing how a topic hangs together. Slide decks and pages are available when you need to present or share instead.

Are they generated from my actual notes?

Yes. Study Artifacts are created from the source-backed notes in your library and keep links back to their source notes when available — so a flashcard answer can be checked against the lecture it came from.

Can I export or share study sets?

Artifacts can be exported to PDF. They live as items in your Phrase library and sync through your own iCloud with Pro. Phrase does not currently offer public share links.
